The stillness leaves you disinterested at first, but intrigued by what's about to happen. By changing the speeds of the video i am allowing the sounds to change although they are coming naturally from the surrounding environment. There is a redundancy to the sounds and the videos, making them slightly banal but by using a mechanical repetition they become enticingly disorienting and surprising.
Although i am using control and editing in my videos i'm still grasping onto the simplicity of mystery. I want my work to be about receptivity and the experience rather than something being concrete.
